Nintendo fans on Twitter got quite the surprise yesterday when a tweet by the official company account sent out a message from the creator of Mario, Shigeru Miyamoto.

Sí, in a short tweet – Miyamoto took control of the company’s Twitter account (don’t worry, we’re sure he had permission) to thank Japanese fans for voting for Nintendo’s games in the nationwide poll about the best console video games of all time.
