A successor to Microsoft’s departing CEO Steve Ballmer could be appointed by the end of the year, if sources close to Bloomberg are anything to go by. The hiring committee specially appointed to find the company’s new top dog are now apparently in the process of narrowing down candidates following preliminary interviews.
