While John-117 returns as a playable character in Guardians, the series appears to be on the verge of handing the mantle (or perhaps, Mantle) of protagonist to a newcomer – Halo Nightfall star Jameson Locke, who is provocatively positioned as Master Chief’s mirror image on the announcement artwork.
