The Division’s Survival Expansion Hits Public Test Server

It’s time to fire up The Division Public Test Server once again. From now to November 13, The Division development team will be giving all PC Division owners a chance to test out free content coming in the 1.5 update, and if you own The Division Season Pass, you’ll get access to Survival – the next major content expansion for The Division that tasks you and 23 other Agents with finding a cure for the pandemic while trying to survive harsh conditions and deal with a new threat, the Hunters. Finding warm clothes, supplies, food, water, and medicine is crucial if you want to succeed.

But what about those 23 other Agents? Survival gives you the option to engage them in either player versus player (PvP) or player versus environment (PvE) modes. In PvP, the traditional “going Rogue” mechanic isn’t in play, but any one of those other 23 Agents can still fight against you, or cooperate with and help you. In PvE, meanwhile, PvP is completely disabled (even inside the Dark Zone), encouraging full cooperative play.

We’ll have more details on Survival soon, but in the meantime, check out our previous coverage of The Division:
