Rock, paper, Xenomorph – the complex AI gambles of Alien: Isolation

In theory, the introduction of gun-toting looters and albino robots to Alien: Isolation is terrible news. After all, how are you supposed to be frightened of the Alien when there are non-Alien NPCs all over the place, bumbling up and down corridors in hopes of a duel? As I discovered during my recent hands-on, however, the androids and humans are very clever additions, both in terms of sheer suspense and in terms of how they complicate the game’s most basic objective – avoiding the Alien.
