Yes, your eyes aren’t deceiving you — the Wii Shop Channel and DSi shop are finally accessible again after the two were suffering outages for months.

The stores were first reported as offline back in March. Then, in May, GameXplain reached out to Nintendo, who stated that it had “nothing to announce”, but thanks to Nintendo Everything, we now know that the stores are both up and running once again. We can all get back to listening to that jingle again just in time for Wii Shop Wednesday!

Don’t forget, even though the stores are back, you can’t buy anything new from them as Nintendo ended the functionality of both the Wii and DSi stores in 2019 and 2017 respectively. But access to the store means that Wii and DSi owners can now re-download any games that they purchased prior to this. So that’s good news!

Normal services resume, then.
