Hunt for Sorcerer Skulls in Conan Exiles: Age of Sorcery — Chapter 2
In Conan Exiles, you explore and survive a vast open world full of ancient ruins, dark sorceries, and savage peoples. With the monumental Age of Sorcery free update, we completed the Sword & Sorcery promise that lies at the heart of Conan the Barbarian by introducing the sorcery system for players to bend to their will.
With Age of Sorcery — Chapter 2, the Exiled Lands continues to evolve with more adventures and danger to be found than ever. As a sandbox survival game, we want players to feel the world absolutely brimming with places to explore, mysteries to unearth, and challenges to overcome.
In the years since Conan Exiles launched, we have continuously added free content like this, expanding the map and what you do in it, and we have no intention of slowing down. Today, we’d like to walk you through some of the new features and activities you can experience in Chapter 2.
Headhunting
In today’s update, we continue what began in the first chapter of Age of Sorcery. The rise of sorcery has not gone unnoticed in the Exiled Lands, and there are those who seek to control this new and virulent power. You can find these strange people to start your new Headhunting career. Their camps can be found in various places.
Once you have spoken to them you will be tasked with tracking down sorcerer NPCs who are spreading their vile influence across the land. It’s up to you to find them, and then either slay or incapacitate them to bring them back dead or alive. The reward for a living sorcerer is higher, but a skull will do just fine too. If we ever find ourselves at a crossroads as to which direction content should go, the answer comes easy when we ask, “What would Conan do?” (in this case, hunt sorcerers).
Efficient headhunters are rewarded with valuable resources, new armor pieces, and more.
Witch Hunt Encounter
When we released Age of Sorcery, we introduced several new random Encounters to the world. In Chapter 2, take on four different boss-level sorcerers in the Witch Hunt Encounter. Each of the four has a different look and set of spells, so you better come prepared. These sorcerers are far more powerful than the others you can come across, but the rewards for bringing one in reflect that.
New Battle Pass and Bazaar Cosmetics
With the new Chapter comes a new Battle Pass bursting with cosmetics, as well as new additions to the Bazaar item shop. All paid content like this is strictly limited to cosmetics. Equip new armors and weapon looks, raise grand cathedrals with the expanded Stormglass building set, and decorate your base with a whole range of new items, such as the ominous cursed tree and labyrinth hedges. New challenges tied to the free Headhunting and the Witch Hunt Encounter have also been introduced to help progress in the Battle Pass.

Discover insidious sorceries and corrupt your body to wield them. Special perks are awarded to those who give up a portion of their life force. Sacrifice thralls to summon demons and the undead and bend them to your will. Conjure darkness, soar the skies on winged monstrosities, and call down lightning to strike your foes.

Updates in Conan Exiles now come in Ages. Each Age has its own theme, free gameplay updates, and Battle Passes. This model allows us to add features and improvements for free, while providing an easy way for any player to support the game’s growth and receive exclusive themed cosmetics.
