GRID Autosport Xbox 360
It may lack next-generation pizazz but it’s a substantial stop-gap.
While Xbox’s flagship racer Forza Motorsport acts as homage to the beauty of all things cars and what they’ve given us as players, Codemasters’ GRID series has always felt more like a celebration of racing disciplines themselves. Last year’s GRID 2 streamlined the franchise, stripping away much of what made it a festival of all things speed. The result was a game that felt very similar to Codies’ off-road racer DiRT 2, which received similar criticism for narrowing the overall scope of events and focusing on more alternative methods of racing, like Gymkhana.
