Are developers being overworked? Lionhead and EA vets talk beating the crunch

Are big studios working individual developers too hard?.

Last year, Crytek tweeted that “by the time Ryse ships, we’ll have served the crunch team more than 11,500 dinners”. The message sparked public outrage. Devs sometimes work absurd, unsociable hours to finish a game on time, you see – pressure from the top is immense, and if build quality is not up to scratch the project could be pulled.
