Activision Blizzard goes "indie" – separates from parent company Vivendi for $8.2 billion

Activision Blizzard Inc, the holding company behind little known franchises like Call of Duty, Warcraft and Skylanders, is all grown up and buying its independence from French parent company Vivendi Universal – and all for a paltry $8.17 billion.
